If you are traveling to a country in the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, you can request the European Health Insurance Card through Segurança Social Direta or by the App Segurança Social + Próxima.

How to request?

Through Segurança Social Direta

Select the menu "Sickness”
Choose the option "Get European Health Insurance Card”
Press the button "Start request" and follow the instructions.

Trough the App Segurança Social + Próxima (available for Android, iOS and Huawei)

Select the "European Health Insurance Card" option
Follow the instructions.
